During his secondment at partner EEM, Maurizio Bertollo was joined by Silvia Comani, also from partner BIND-UdA. The main focus of this conjoint secondment was to provide requirements and targeted functional parameters for use of the cap system in athletes. Several aspects of the constraints of EEG acquisitions in sport science were addressed in order to develop reliable protocols that guarantee suitable procedure for EEG applications in various sports. In particular, the definition of protocols for acquisitions during sport practice (e.g. cycling and running) were discussed, with particular attention to subsequent analysis of the EEG signals in the time and frequency domains.
